I provide a full range of repairs and upgrades for both desktop and laptop computers.  When diagnosing a hardware issue I always take into account the age and quality of the machine.  In many cases it is better to replace the entire computer or laptop rather than investing the money into a repair.  Unless it is just a hard drive, power supply or video card that needs to be replaced.

Many times customers drop their laptop, cracking or damaging the screen…but this may just be the first symptom that occurs, many times within a few months the hard drive will fail from damage sustained in the fall or the entire motherboard.   I always try to guide my customers into the right decision as to whether repair or replace the unit based on which is the cost effective solution.

The most common upgrade your computer will need is a ram upgrade about half way through its life cycle.  Ram is what gives your computer speed along with the size of the processor.  When you purchased the computer the operating system may have been 8 gigabytes, but with the constant updates from windows over a three or four year period it will grow to 16 gigabytes or larger.   You will need more ram for your machine to be able to handle the larger operating system, if you fail to upgrade it will put more pressure on the hard drive, and you will run the risk of a hard drive failure.
